Fall Embroidery Hoop Wreath
A beautiful, affordable, autumn wreath you can make on a budget for a beautiful front door display.
Servings: 1 wreath
Cost: $10 or less
- 1 wooden embroidery hoop (see link above to purchase on amazon)
- silk flowers (in autumn colors)
- Fall berries
- Hot glue gun
- 3 glue sticks
If using an oval embroidery hoop decide if you want to hang it vertically or horizontally.
I found flowers, stems of berries, and even pretty feathers at Dollar Tree. You want to have one larger flower, stems with smaller flowers, and at least one or two different textures like the berries.
Play around a bit first with your flowers and other items and get an idea for how you would like your arrangement to look.
Wrap the stem of one flower around the embroidery hoop and glue it into place. Allow the hot glue to harden completely. You will use this stem to help anchor the other stems that you will be using.
Pull the flowers off all the remaining flower stems.
Start tucking the longer pieces like berry stems and feathers at the top of where you would like your arrangement to end on either side, run the ends through the stem wrapped around hoop. Place some just to the inside of the hoop and some just on the outside to create a fuller-looking grouping.
Begin filling in the space with flower tops, gluing securely in place, work outward from the center of your flower arrangement. Tuck in a few pieces of greenery to finish filling in.
Your wreath is one of a kind and is perfect for hanging indoors or out to welcome your guests.
